MISC ACHIEVEMENTS . Lead a movement to honor geological pioneer FLORENCE WEBER for the University of Alaska's
highest award. Florence Weber, along with her colleague Florence Collins, flew a biplane to Alaska in 1949 and became the
very first female geological explorers in the state. The nomination efforts led to Florence Weber being granted an honorary
PhD by the uninversity in 1987. , Spearheaded a movement to nominate adoption pioneer
BERTHA HOLT for a Nobel Peace Prize. The effort resulted in successfully advancing Bertha Holt as a Nobel Peace Prize candidate
in 1990 (although the actual prize that year went to Mikhail Gorbachev). . 1996 Listed in Who's Who in America in the West,
75th Anniversary Edition.
